Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another edition of
"The Insider Report". This week The Insider will bring you a total
recap of the exciting March 8th show. So without further wait, lets check out
the action. The EWF Arena had another good crowd this week who were all
ready to see another great show. A great show it was indeed. I got to the arena
about 30 minutes early and grab my usual EWF diet of buttery popcorn and a Mt.
Dew, but decided to spice it up a bit and grab a candy bar as well. Dinner is
served! So lets get to the matches! First match of the night saw everyone’s not so favorite
"Rent-A-Cop" A.C. Parker take on the French Canadian, Steven Sommers.
I wasn't sure who I hated more in this match; the cop wannabe or the fruity
Frenchmen. Regardless, it was a quick match as A.C. Parker couldn't cheat to win
and Steven Sommers got the 1-2-3 pinfall and win. A.C. was pretty mad after the
match and exclaimed he's been getting the screw job the last couple weeks and it
was because of 1 person. That person was EWF Owner, Hurricane! A.C. proceeded to ramble on about this and that until
Hurricane finally got on the mic and told A.C. to shut his fat mouth. A.C. said,
"Speaking of fat, why don’t you roll your tubby butt down here fat
boy and we'll settle this right here, right now." Hurricane said, "Oh
we can do it right here, and right now but lets make things interesting. Let's
have a hardcore match!" A.C. didn't seem too keen on the idea and started
to have a temper tantrum. He exclaimed he's a real wrestler and didn't need to
subject himself to a hardcore match. Hurricane said that was too damn bad
because he calls the shots around here and next week, A.C. will have his hands
full with the 420lb beast; Hurricane. A.C. left the ring in quick fashion in
utter disgust and didn't appear to be too happy about his match for next week. * Steven Sommers beat AC Parker On to our next match of the night, Donnie Dynasty took on
Big Nasty. Nasty was making his return to the EWF Arena after taking some time
off to heal some injuries and it appears he healed up 110%. Nasty totally
dominated this match and squashed little Donnie Dynasty like a bug. Nasty got
the 1-2-3 pinfall and the win after a nice running powerslam. * Big Nasty beat Donnie Dynasty Our next match up was supposed to be a battle between
Nigerian Nightmare and Hellraiser. Hellraiser was not able to make the show and
this really seemed to anger Nigerian Nightmare. Nightmare was not about to walk
away without causing someone pain though. To everyone's dismay, one of EWF's
wrestling super fans, "Twitch" was about to become Nightmare's next
victim. Twitch exchanged words with Nightmare and that’s when the brutality
began. Nightmare thru Twitch into the ring and gave this kid a beating of a
lifetime. This was truly on of the most brutal beatings I have ever seen.
Nightmare has this kid outweighed by over 100 lbs and simply tossed Twitch
around the ring like a rag doll. Nightmare picked Twitch up and literally held
him in the air for almost 60 seconds then powerbombed him harder than I’ve
ever seen anyone get powerbombed before in my entire life. Twitch's neck looked to be snapped and the crowd was dead
silent as Twitch laid there motionless. Nightmare stood over his latest victim
with a huge grin and finally left the ring. Referee Jeff Landis and the EWF
medic made sure Twitch was ok and helped him to his feet and the crowd gave
Twitch a round of applause as he made he way out of the ring. This just goes to
show you never know what will happen in the EWF (Note to self don't ever make fun of Nigerian Nightmare) * Nigerian Nightmare beat "Twitch" (a fan from the crowd) The next match of the evening was a great one.
"Poison" Apollo Star faces current EWF BMF champion, Anarchy. Both of
these guys are superior wrestlers and it showed in this match. Apollo is a
master of the mat and his skills meshed very well with Anarchy's ring skills.
These two battled for about 18 minutes in a classic textbook match.
Anarchy scored the win and keeps his title, but the former and I say former fan
favorite Apollo Star are sure to cross path's again. Apollo was very angered
after his match and demanded a rematch, but without a reply from the silence
behind the violence, Anarchy. Apollo left the ring to a huge sea of boo's from
the crowd and yelled at every single one of us on his way out. I'm looking
forward to seeing these do go at it in the near future. * Tsunami beat Damon Starr * BMF Title: Anarchy (c) beat Apollo Star After a short intermission that allowed me time to stock
back up on popcorn and Mt. Dew, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that our
next match would be for the EWF Tag Team titles. Although tonight Big Cheez had
to find a replacement for his tag team title partner, Real Deal Christopher
Steele because he was injured in last week epic battle, Cheez tagged with none
other than one of his closest friends, King. I decided to name that tag team
"King Cheez" for lack of a better term. Their opponent would also be
without a member of their team though. Little Daisy Calhoun was unable to escort
Hank Calhoun and Confederate Kid to the ring tonight due to a case of the flu.
This actually helped Hank and Kid work as a better team though, as they weren't
fighting with cousin Daisy over kissing rights. Haha. Hank and Kid put on a
great match though, but couldn't over come the powerful attack of "King
Cheez" and the champions retained their titles tonight. * Tag Titles: Big Cheez & King (sub. for Real Deal) (c) beat Hank Calhoun & Confederate Kid Shortly after that match, Pheonix made his way to the ring
and started claiming he was the best around here and since he beat A.J. Styles
last week, he more than deserves a shot at the EWF Heavyweight title. Jack
Hammer saw it a little differently and had no problem with bringing the pain.
Hammer put his title on the line against Pheonix in a great match. Hammer's
brawling and powerful style and Pheonix's high flying and excellent mat skills
provided for a very entertaining match. Pheonix hit a picture perfect moonsault
and got the 1-2-3 pinfall, although it looked to be a very quick count from
Referee Jeff Landis. Pheonix had thought he won the match, but cheaters never
win and EWF Owner, Hurricane wasn't going to allow a cheater to wear the gold.
Hurricane ordered the match to restart and Jack Hammer made a quick roll up and
got the pin to retain the EWF Heavyweight Title. Jack Hammer looked to be a
little angered with Referee Jeff Landis after the match though for the quick
count just minutes ago. Does the ref have something against Hammer or was it
just a mistake for making the quick count? Who knows, but I’ll be keeping an
eye on Referee Landis in the near future. * EWF Title: Jack Hammer (c) beat Pheonix Another great show this week wrestling fans, and I hope you
were all there to witness it in person. I'll be there again next week to report
the show for you all and I hope to everyone in attendance. It should be another
awesome show with a few matches already confirmed and even more being added in
the coming days I hear. Check the website for more info on the coming weeks
card and check for more columns be me, The Insider! Thanks for reading. | |
