Hello
wrestling fans and welcome to another edition of The Insider Report by yours
truly, The Insider. This week we'll recap all the exciting action from the March
29th show at the EWF Arena and shed some light on next weeks show as well. So
without wait, on with the action. I
showed up this week before the doors even opened so I could have a great seat
since i knew the arena would be packed, and packed it was. Standing room only
this week ladies and gentlemen. Right about 200 fans After getting in the door
and stocking up on my usual "EWF Diet" of hot, buttery popcorn, some
Mt. Dew and 2 almond Snickers bars; I was all set to see a great show. The show started just a few
minutes after 7 pm and our Referee for the evening would be EWF head official,
Jeff Landis. The crowd was eager to see the action to get going and our first
match of the night would pit "The Deranged One" Snake against Kid
Liberty. Kid Liberty making a full time return to the wrestling ring would put
on a great match with the rubber chicken carrying, Snake. Kid Liberty had
control of the majority of the match and hit some great moves throughout. Kid
went for a great top rope moonsault but couldn't connect as interference by his
cousin; Hank Calhoun would make this match even more interesting. Hank
Calhoun and Kid Liberty seem to have some issues to settle between them as Hank
Calhoun came in and completely leveled Kid Liberty with his Dixie Chopper
finisher. As Kid Liberty lay out on the mat, Hank Calhoun grabbed Snake as he
tried to leave the ring and also gave him the Dixie Chopper and laid him out.
This allowed Kid Liberty enough time to get back to his feet and deliver a great
jaw breaking Super Kick to the mouth of Hank Calhoun. Referee Jeff Landis
declared this match a No Contest due to interference by Hank. I don’t know
about you, but I'm sure we will see Hank and Kid Liberty face off against each
other in the near future. * Kid Liberty vs. Snake - No Contest due to interference by Hank Calhoun After the wrestlers from the
first match had returned to the back, it was time for our next match.
"Rent-A-Cop" A.C. Parker, who was revealed as being the man who
attacked Hellraiser a few weeks ago would have to face him tonight. As you may
recall, The Insider was the one and only person to bring you this information
and I also stated that Hellraiser would look to get revenge on A.C. Parker.
Hellraiser came out to a huge ovation from the fans and immediately went to work
on the "Rent-A-Cop" with an all out brawling attack. After quickly
wearing down A.C. Parker, Hellraiser went for the pin, but A.C. was able to get
to the ropes and keep himself in the match. After both men made their way to
their feet, A.C. gave Hellrasier a low blow and was able to lock in a Scorpion
Deathlock submission hold. As the ref asked Hellraiser if
he wanted to tap out, the fans really started to come to life. This helped
Hellraiser get out to the ropes and A.C. was forced to break the hold after a 5
count by the ref. A.C. continued to stomp on Hellrasier, but the roar of the
crowd seemed to get Hellraiser pumping and he was able to regain control of the
match and set A.C. up for devastating finisher. The ref scrambled over to make
the count, 1-2-3 and the winner of the match, Hellraiser! Hellraiser got his
revenge and A.C. was forced to get back to the mall and harass innocent people.
I'm sure this is not the end of this feud so keep an eye on these two! * Hellraiser beat AC Parker The crowd was still buzzing after this match and eager to
see more action. Action is exactly what they were about to get, as two excellent
athletes would face off one on one. One of the most hated men in all of the EWF,
Johnny Mac would take a good 5 minutes to get into the ring as he sucked the
limelight for all it was worth. I hate Johnny Mac with a passion and he knows
it, as every time he comes out I yell at him. This week he was right in my face
I am a little upset he called me a "pocket protector-wearing
toothpick". Regardless, the cocky Johnny Mac finally got into the ring and
the boo's were silenced as everyone's favorite brother from the hood, King as he
made his way to the ring. King got a great response from the crowd as most
people had seen his excellent match last week with Apollo Star. King gave us a little comedy to laugh at before the match
that was quite funny but after the bell was rung, it was all business. Johnny
Mac is hated by everyone, and as cocky as they come, but this guy can wrestle
with the best of them. The crowd immediately got behind King though and the
match started fast and furious. Johnny Mac was able to take control and start a
massive assault on the leg of King with a few great moves such as a dragon screw
leg whip. At this point, the match was a pure mat-wrestling match in classic
form. As great a wrestler that Johnny Mac might be, he couldn't gain the upper
hand and King gained control. * King beat Johnny Mac At this point in the show it was time for intermission,
which allowed me enough time to stock back up on the snack bar goodies and to
get a Polaroid picture taken with one of my favorite wrestlers, Hellraiser!
I was so pumped for that and Hellraiser was nice enough to sign my EWF T-shirt
and picture. That was one of the coolest things of the night. As the
intermission ended, we were told it was time for the Tag Team Titles match. This
would be a great match with Street Fight rules applied. * Stryc 9 beat Hank Calhoun after interference by Kid Liberty The challengers came out first, as Ruin and Big Nasty were
met with a fury of boos from the crowd but the boos were quickly
turned into cheers as the EWF Tag Team Champions, Big Cheez and Real Deal
Christopher Steele made their way to the ring. The bell was rang, and all hell
broke loose. Within a matter of 2 minutes, this match went from a wrestling
match, to an all out brawl. No love is lost between these men as Steele attacked
Ruin with a chair and the match became a 4-man fury of destruction. Big Nasty hit big Cheez with a stop sign not once, not twice
but three consecutive times and the blood was pouring from Big Cheez. As the
battle continued outside the ring, Christopher Steele was also busted wide open
and quickly wearing the crimson mask. The battle went back and forth throughout
as all 4 men used every weapon within reach. The crowd was loud the whole match
and wanted to see the table come out. Big Cheez and Steele broke out not one,
but two tables and made the match just that more interesting. One of the tables
was set up against the turnbuckles and half-way broken as Ruin was speared thru
it by Real Deal. They put splinters into Ruin's back and somehow split the back
of his head open as well, you could tell he was hurt as he laid on the floor
outside the ring. * Street Fight for Tag Titles: Big Cheez & Real Deal (c) beat Ruin & Big Nasty After this bloodbath of a match, the crowd was as hot as I
can ever remember and they were hungry for more. Time for the battle for the EWF
Heavyweight Title with Anarchy rules applying. The Flying Phenom, Pheonix came
out to the ring first, touting 2 / 8 ft" light bulb tubes with
him and you immediately knew this match was going to be extreme! Then, the EWF
Heavyweight Champion, Jack Hammer came out with a shopping cart full of hardcore
goodies such as a couple of STOP Signs, light tubes, steel pipes, a kitchen
sink, trumpet and even a bowling pin! Then the music hit and the Silence behind
the Violence, Anarchy was announced, but no sign of him from the entrance area. As everyone looked at the entrance area, Jack Hammer
and Pheonix went to the outside of the ring to exchanged words, Anarchy appeared
out of the darkness, from up in the rafters of the building! And Anarchy made a
huge leap from the rafters to tackle both men. The war was on. The match
started outside the ring with all three men battling for control. No single man
seemed to have control here as Hammer, Pheonix and Anarchy all unleashed on each
other with every weapon that could be grabbed. Jack Hammer was laid out on the
concrete floor after some brutal shots to the head that caused some bleeding
from Anarchy. Anarchy went back in the ring after Pheonix but was met with a
awesome STOP sign to the head. Anarchy stumbled around, and Pheonix whacked him
again to the head, sending Anarchy to the mat. Pheonix went for the pin, but Anarchy was able to kick out
after a 2 count. Pheonix was angered by this so he pulled Anarchy to his feet
and continued the attack Jack Hammer was just getting to his feet and joined in
on the attack and helped send Anarchy flying to the outside of the ring. This
left Hammer and Pheonix toe to toe in the middle of the ring. Both men exchanged
punches but the Flying Phenom used his speed to his advantage, by whipping
Hammer to the ropes and connecting with a spin kick to the jaw to put Jack
Hammer to the mat. Hammer rolled outside and was immediately attacked by Anarchy
and the two men brawled across the arena floor. Pheonix came to the outside and
grabbed a table from under the ring and ordered an EWF Security guard to help
him set the table up. Apparently the Security guy wasn't fast enough as Pheonix
got in his face and delivered a blow to the guy’s head and he fell to the
floor as well. Pheonix set the table up against a railing and Anarchy was
able to whip Jack Hammer right into the table. Anarchy went right after Pheonix
and slammed the table right back into his face! Pheonix and Hammer both laid out
on the concrete and Anarchy looked for more weapons of destruction to inflict
pain on them. Anarchy searched thru the shopping cart and tossed a few more
items into the ring, including a large bag of thumbtacks that would now cover
the mat. Pheonix get back to his feet and attacked Jack Hammer with a brick to
the head that further opened up the forehead of the champion. Hammer laid on the
apron of the ring as Pheonix grabbed a chair and delivered a devistating blow to
the head of Hammer again. Anarchy pulled Pheonix into the ring by his hair and
flipped him up and over the ropes onto the thumbtacks! That’s gotta hurt
wrestling fans because those things are very sharp and it showed as Pheonix's
back was now covered in thumbtacks. Anarchy pulled Jack Hammer back into the ring and they
battled back and forth. Hammer went to the top rope and tried for a flying elbow
drop, but only connected with a pile of thumbtacks. Hammer's right arm must have
had over 30 tacks stuck in it at this point and he laid out on the mat. Pheonix
came in and clotheslined Anarchy to the outside of the ring and went for the pin
on Jack Hammer. Anarchy was able to quickly get to the corner and climb the
turnbuckles as Pheonix went for the pin and made a huge leap across the ring to
land directly on both Hammer and Pheonix to stop the pin. Anarchy was clearly
hurt from this move, as were Hammer and Pheonix. Anarchy was able to cover both
men and the ref was there to make the count 1...2...3! * EWF Title: Anarchy beat Jack Hammer (c) and Pheonix to win the title With the title changing hands to Anarchy this evening and
with the ranks of the EWF getting hotter and better each and every week, I
don’t know what to expect from the EWF next. It's always an exciting show and
I'm sure more is to come as the dawn of a new era has started. That is all for this week wrestling fans. Check back in next
week for another action packed recap of all the happenings from next weeks
blockbuster show. Thank you for reading! | |
