Hello wrestling fans! The Insider is back again this week to bring you all the exciting coverage of EWF wrestling live from their arena at 3400 South Adams in Marion, Indiana. Also in this weeks issue, I'll be giving you all the results, all the happenings in EWF, we'll run through the rumor mill and the backstage notes I've heard. Only The Insider brings you this great coverage! EWF will be bringing in NWA-TNA Superstar AJ Styles on March 1st! This is awesome wrestling fans. If you've never seen AJ Styles in action before, you need to be in the house on March 1st and witness for yourself one of wrestling true up & coming Superstars. AJ has toured in Japan , worked with Ring of Honor and also had a brief stint in the WCW just before their demise. In any event , AJ Styles is sure to bring some very exciting action to the EWF arena and sure to create some havoc on March 1st. I'll be there in attendance as usual eagerly awaiting his debut. Ok, now lets get on to February 8th's EWF action from the arena. I got their a little later than I usually do, thanks to the terrible traffic (snow) I encountered. Oh well, I was pumped up and ready to see the action, and action is what i saw. I do gotta put a plug in for the ladies at the concession stand for the popcorn this week as well. I hadn't ate before the show and the popcorn was definitely the bomb. The arena was pretty well packed again this week about 165 , and shortly after 7pm we got the show rolling. Our Referee for the night would be Jason Riggs, who must be pretty new to the scene since I haven't seen him around before. Our first match of the night would pit "The freak with the rubber chicken" SNAKE, against everyone's not-so-favorite non-patriotic crony, CONFEDERATE KID Snake had the early advantage and weakened down Kid with some nice stiff shots, but Kid rallied back with some nice hi-flying moves and looked to have the match in hand. One little miscue by Confederate Kid, cost him the match as Snake got the quick 1-2-3 and the win, but the war had just started! After the match, the revengeful "Rent-A-Cop" A.C. Parker; who had a tangle with Snake last week, came out and attacked Snake! I told you wrestling fans in last weeks issue, no self-respecting "Rent-A-Cop" would let another man get the best of him! Sure enough, A.C. Parker beat a royal beat down on Snake "LAPD Rodney King style"! A.C. Parker took out his handcuffs and locked them on Snake with his hands behind his back. Snake was beaten helplessly and left in the ring laying face first on the mat. * Snake beat Confederate Kid Our next match of the evening was JOHNNY MAC, taking on the fan supported STRYC-9 in his EWF debut , Styrc-9 came out to a nice applause from the crowd, while Johnny Mac seemed to be hated by everyone in the house. The match got started and the two grapplers traded some nice moves back and forth. Both of these men have some great ability and showcased it here in this match. I truly hope we see more of them in the near future. Johnny Mac whined and cried all match long, and it seemed to help him as the Ref counted the 1-2-3 in favor of Johnny Mac. * Johnny Mac beat Stryc-9 Our next match of the night featured one of my favorite wrestlers in the EWF, OPIE CLAMPETT! Dude, this guy is awesome! I love his music, and by the looks of it so did the referee! His opponent would be one of Los Mexicano's, RUDO CORTEZ! The match got started quickly and Rudo showed his blockbuster wrestling skills by working Opie to the limit. the redneck posse of confederate cronies made their way to ringside, Hank Calhoun, Confederate Kid, and Daisy Calhoun (The female cousin of Hank) came out and totally interfered in the match! Daisy had Referee Jason Riggs all confused by showing him some "Southern Hospitality" on the apron, while Hank and Kid did the dirty work by helping Opie Clampett get the win. * Opie Clampett beat Rudo Cortez With that all out of the way, we got straight into out next match up. It pitted RUIN against Tsunami! Ruin came out and got a nice pop from the fans and showed his appreciation by showing some love back to them perched up on the turnbuckles. The match got started quickly and Tsunami was landing some totally devastating kicks to Ruin. I swear Tsunami could kick ya through a brick wall! You could hear 3 sounds when Tsunami kicked Ruin and it went like this: CRACK! (Tsunami kicking Ruin), BANG! (Ruin hitting the mat), and HOLY CRAP! (The crowd's reaction to it). Ruin battled back like a true champion, a former EWF champion he was by the way for those of you who didn't know, and finally hit his perfected Flying Headbutt from the top turnbuckle and got the 1-2-3 on Tsunami. Ruin looks to be making his comeback to the EWF in full force and it's great to see him on top of his game once again. Keep your eyes on Ruin, I see moving up the ladder in the EWF very quickly! Mark my words wrestling fans! * Ruin Beat Tsunami Next match of the evening was a Tag Team Match. Coming out first was the massive beast from Africa, NIGERIAN NIGHTMARE, followed by his very strange partner, JULIAN the WARLOCK! Man, these two guys totally give me the creeps! Nightmare just stares at you like he's going to kill you, and the scary part is you know he could! Julian is just plain FREAKY! This guy makes my spine tingle because he's so weird. Their opponents for this evening would be "Poison" APOLLO STAR & JACK HAMMER! Star and Hammer came out to the loudest pop from the crowd so far. Star had on his super cool gas mask and was thuggin it hardcore. Jack Hammer brought a couple beers (Whooo Hooooo!!! ) out for him and Apollo Star and they tried to start the party, but it was quickly ended by Nightmare and Julian who attacked them. This match started out crazy! All 4 men where in the ring and the action was fast paced as you just seen the guys flying and crashing into each other. It was a awesome match. Hammer and Apollo got the 1.2.3 and were cheered all the way to the locker room as they left the ring. * Apollo Star & Jack Hammer beat Julian the Warlock & Nigerian Nightmare Our next match saw EWF Heavyweight Champion Ryan Paradise, come out with his title in hand to receive nothing but boo's from the crowd. This guy is so cocky and such a jerk! Then out comes James Byington (formerly known as Busta). This match was pretty sweet. Both of these guys kept a fast pace the entire match. James hit some killer moves from the top rope, Paradise hit all of his classic moves and showed just why he is the EWF Heavyweight Champ. Paradise gained control of the match after both men exchanged some great moves, and got the 1-2-3 pin and win. It wasn't over yet though fans! * Ryan Paradise beat James Byington (formerly known as Busta) in a non title match. EWF Owner Hurricane told Paradise if he thought he was pulling a fast one by not defending the title that he had another thing coming. Hurricane announced that Ryan would have to defend the title tonight against Big Cheez! The crowd cheered big time and Ryan stormed off to the locker room looking pretty mad about it. Our next match of the evening the hardcore thug, 9-Mil take on Pheonix! 9-Mil looked like one bad gangsta, and i heard he's from Chicago, so I wouldn't want to be Pheonix right about now! This match was another fast paced one filled with some pretty good moves. 9-Mil showed to be a lot more agility than I though he had with some pretty sweet moves. Pheonix went for a pin and looked to have the 3 count, but the Ref thought different and only counted to 2. Pheonix, along with the crowd were pretty mad about this and let the Ref know it too! Luckily Pheonix had worn down 9-mil enough that he was able to pin him again and finally got the well deserved 1-2-3! The crowd cheered for Pheonix after the match as he exited ringside and 9-Mil stormed off to the back in shame. * Pheonix beat 9-Mil Our next match of the night saw "Real Deal" Chistopher Steele, come out to the ring and he finally took off that sock hat! Yes ladies and gentlemen, he has hair! Then out comes "The Silence behind the Violence" Anarchy! He still looked to be favoring that injured neck pretty heavily from the beating Pheonix had given him 2 and Steele noticed it and as soon as the match started Steele went right to work on the neck of Anarchy. Steele hit some really unbelievable suplexes and continued to work on the neck on Anarchy. Anarchy battled back with some killer hi-flying moves and started to wear Steele down. The match was definitely a 4 star match up, when the smoke cleared Anarchy was the winner! * Anarchy beat "Real Deal" Christopher Steele Ok, now to the big Main Event for the EWF Heavyweight Title!! Oh yeah baby, this one is for all the marbles! The champ, Ryan Paradise comes out to the ring to nothing but boo's from the crowd. That's expected since I don't think anyone likes this egomaniac! Then out comes Big Cheez! Man, the crowd was popping big time for Cheez! Biggest cheers of the night. This match was awesome and the 2 athletes were both on top of their game. Paradise decided after about 20 min. that he would walk out of the arena...he was counted out and Big Cheez gets his hand raised as the winner of the match! * EWF Title: Big Cheez beat Ryan Paradise (c) by count out Big Cheez is the winner, but he didn't win much. Paradise knew that Cheez couldn't win the title by count out, so that's just what he did. EWF Owner, Hurricane wasn't going to let Ryan Paradise get off that easy. He announced that next week, Big Cheez can have his rematch with Ryan Paradise for the EWF Heavyweight Title, and this time it will be a No Holds Barred, Falls count Anywhere match! Oh yeah baby! This is going to be sweet! Big Cheez, and that crybaby punk Ryan Paradise and somebody has to get the 1-2-3 or tap out. No excuses here! That's gonna be awesome! Rumors Alright wrestling fans, lets dig up some dirt and think about some things! Those chain link panels and steel posts I saw last week are being used for something, I know that 100%. What they are going to be used for, I dunno. I'll have to keep digging for that one. Maybe some kind of cage or something? The Italian "Family" member is rumored to be a really big fan of spaghetti and pasta dishes and will be resurfacing nest Saturday. Rumor has it, Anarchy was seen wearing a neck brace before AND after the show. It's not broken, but how well is it still attached!?!?! I seen Ruin walking around backstage with a big black bag that looked to be empty. Not a clue what was going on there. Pheonix and Anarchy confronted each other backstage, but nothing was said between the two. Just a long stare and both men walked away from each other. What's the deal with these two guys anyhow? I saw some contracts laying on the EWF Owner's desk, but I couldn't get close enough to ready any names. Who's been offered a contract? Who's inked a deal with EWF? I also saw a folder laying on the EWF Owner's desk saying "Press Release" Now from what I know about this business, you only have a "Press Release" when something really big is about to happen. So what's going on??? "Rent-A-Cop" A.C. Parker was seen leaving the EWF arena late Saturday night with a bunch of uniformed officers. What's up with that? What's the agenda of AJ Styles coming to EWF? What or who is he looking for? Why was Opie Clampett being recruited by Hank Calhoun and Confederate Kid? Is James Byington formerly known as "Busta" having some kind of identity crisis? Something is going down in EWF, and I'm determined to find out! Tune in next week for another complete wrap up of the February 15th show, some more news, notes and whatever dirt I can dig up! Thanks for reading! The Insider | |
