Hi fans, it's me the
Insider once again to tell you about all the happening at the EWF Arena this
week. First, I want to say I was
amazed at the number of fans that came out to the Arena tonight what with all
the snow and the fact that the local news was telling people that if they did
not need to leave their house that they should just stay home.... Several of the EWF
stars were stranded or just were not able to travel in such conditions and not
able to make it to the arena so the show only had 6 matches but they were all
great as I will report below. It actually took me
3-1/2 hours (normal drive time 45 min) to make it to the arena but well worth
the trip as I get there it is about 2 min til 7:00 pm so I hurried up grabbed a
Mt. Dew and a couple boxes of Slim Jims...and made it to my seat....the show got
under way about 7:15 pm, The owner announced they were running a little behind
as we were told some of the wrestlers were also arriving late and they were
still getting ready. Hurricane gave away a pair of tickets for next weeks show
with A.J. Styles, and a EWF T-Shirt and about that time our referee for the
evening came out, announced only as "Topher" the ref not wearing the
zebra stripes came out to a huge pop from the crowd, (later finding out
that Topher was actually voted "Fan of the year 2000" at the EWF Arena
and would be guest referee tonight.) Confederate Kid came
out with Hank Calhoun his opponent tonight would be the deranged one Snake,
Snake made his way to the ring with "Mr. Chicken" ...the match was
pretty good...Topher was one hilarious referee.... I hope he does it again. The
match ended when Hank Calhoun delivered a shot to the face of Snake with his
confederate flag.... Confederate Kid got the win and took "Mr. Chicken”. * Confederate Kid
beat Snake Tsunami came out and
demanded a match with Confederate Kid stating that Kid had put liquid heat in
his jock and that he did not find it funny.... Confederate Kid said fine and
match 2 was started ...several times Hank tried to interrupt the match, which
managed to upset Ruin in the back as he made an appearance to take care of Hank
Calhoun, giving an edge to Tsunami, allowing Tsunami to get the pinfall. * Tsunami beat
Confederate Kid Pheonix was out to the
ring next his opponent, none other than his former tag team partner and former
best friend Anarchy, these two have had some tremendous matches this far, and I
was not disappointed once again.... several high spots with Pheonix hitting all
his trademark moves, Anarchy in the end with a leg drop out of the rafters for
the setup to his finisher for the 1...2...3.. * Anarchy beat
Pheonix A quick intermission
allowed me enough time to use the men’s room, and grab another Mt. Dew...I got
back out in time to see the debut of a new EWF wrestler. "Halo" would
make his debut as the tag partner for "The Urban Legend" J Real they
would face, the team of Din-T-Moore & El Vato Johnny Chingas.... this match
was about 25 min of non stop action and loads of laughs I love this Urban Legend
guy...Halo was unbelievable and I certainly hopes he will be around awhile...El
Vato & Din-T worked very well together and scored the win after a series of
very well executed tag team finisher which I have never seen anything quite like
it. * El Vato & Din
T. Moore beat J Real & Halo “The Urban Legend”
J Real was quite upset at the rookie Halo, and decided to turn on his would be
partner, starting a impromptu match up much to the enjoyment of the fans...Halo
although a loss here tonight, in my opinion will have a great future here in the
EWF.... J Real got the win after very nice inverted DDT. * J Real beat Halo Hank Calhoun came out
for the main event saying that he did not want to face Jack Hammer tonight,
Hurricane offered that the winner would face Ryan Paradise next week for an
EWF Title shot.... Hank agreed...this match was by far one of the best matches I
have ever seen Hank wrestle and Hammer was definitely on top of his game tonight
as well...in the end it was Hammer who's hand was raised and who will take on
Paradise next week in a heavyweight title match up. * Jack Hammer beat Hank Calhoun | |
