Hello wrestling fans and welcome back to another edition of The Insider Report. This week I'll recap all the happenings from the April 19th EWF show from the EWF Arena. It was a great show and a good number of people came out to watch the event. So without further wait, on with the show!

The Insider arrived early and got my usual large popcorn, Mt. Dew and a snickers bar. They should have a package deal for people like me! After getting my grub, I had to grab a front row seat to witness the action for myself; up close and personal.

The show started off with Referee Jeff Landis being announced as the referee for our first match. It would pit Liberty Kid against the returning "Mexican Madman" Hypnosis. A great fast paced luchadore style match here. High spot after high spot for the first few minutes made for a good first match to watch. Hypnosis hit an awesome 357 (like Mysterio’s 619) and looked like a quick win for the Hispanic causing Panic...  But Liberty Kid decided to take things to the outside and it just so happened that EWF Star, Snake was sitting in the first row. Come to find out, Snake was quite angered that he did not have a match this week after being attacked by Hypnosis last week and was in the front row protesting. Snake took it upon himself to interfere in this match up, at which point the ref called for the bell. The match was ruled in favor of Hypnosis after Snake attacked him. Bit of ring rust. We'll see if he can shake it off next week.

* Hypnosis beat Liberty Kid by DQ after interference by Snake

Our second match of the evening would be a pretty good one. Referee for the contest would be Jason Harding. Johnny Law came out and got a nice pop from the crowd by spitting an extremely hot fireball, but the crowd soon learned just how much of a jerk Johnny really is. Law proceeded to provoke pretty much everyone in attendance to a fight. Kinda funny how he had a scared look on his face as his opponent, Hellrasier came out to a huge ovation from the fans. Hellraiser continues to be one of the top guys on the ovation list week after week and this show was just as hot.

Both men finally locked up and Law took control early on. Law wasn't too smart though, as he continued to yell at the fans during the match, which finally allowed Hellraiser to regain control and start to wear down the chump. Hellraiser came with a fury of power moves and quickly started to wear Johnny Law down. Law tried to regain control with a rake to the eyes, but Hellraiser's mask wasn't having any of that! Hellrasier shook it off, laughed and continued the all out assault. Hellrasier was able to finish Johnny Law off with his finisher and grab the 1-2-3 pin. Law was pretty steamed after the match and let everyone know just what was on his mind at the time. Thanks a lot, but nobody cares Mr. Johnny Law. You suck!

* Hellraiser beat Johnny Law

Our next match of the evening would be a David versus Goliath battle. The huge beast from New York, Big Nasty came to the ring and immediately made his presence known. The big man towered over everyone and everything. His opponent would be the Flying Phenom, Pheonix! Pheonix seems to be gaining respect back from the fans each and every week, and is gaining mine as well. His attitude has changed and his ring work has stepped up a notch. I truly believe this guy can hang with the best in the business. The bell was rung and the action was starting to boil.

Pheonix used his speed to his advantage to try to stick and move against Big Nasty. Nasty went for a big boot to the mouth and Pheonix was able to duck it and get on the attack at that point. He stuck to the stick and move approach and it worked well as the Flying Phenom as starting to work the legs of the big man. Nasty was now very limited as both legs were being worked on by Pheonix and that made the match even more interesting. Pheonix continued to "chop down the tree" and nailed a great split legged moonsault from the top rope on the fallen Nasty. The ref scurried across the ring and made the count, 1-2-3 with the win going to the Flying Phenom, Pheonix!

With a huge roar from the crowd, Pheonix quickly made his way to the locker room as Big Nasty laid slain in the ring. After some careful digging this week, it has also been brought to my attention that Ruin and Big Nasty have split as a Tag Team. It will be interesting to see where the big man goes from here. As long as he's not coming towards me, I'm ok!

* Pheonix beat Big Nasty

Our next match of the evening would be a good one with some nice drama involved. Chad Collyer, who is one of my favorite EWF stars, returned this week and had a few words for the fans. Collyer claimed he got the screwjob last week in an epic, old school style match with Apollo Star that lasted all 15 minutes and went to a time limit draw. Collyer exclaimed he knew he was a better wrestler than anyone in the EWF locker room and has proved it all across the globe. Collyer made it clear that his travels of Japan, England and work with the WWE made him a top gun in the EWF. He then challenged anyone from the back to say different.

The music hit and Collyer shut his mouth quickly as Jack Hammer came out to showcase his skills against Collyer. Collyer quickly took Hammer to the mat and started to work the arm. Trying to slow things down and wear his opponent down slowly. That is the game plan of wrestlers like Collyer. Ground em and pound em. Take away the opponents best offensive weapon and then go for the kill. Collyer tried for several pins on Hammer, but to no success. Hammer was able to get to the ropes and get back to his feet. Hammer came back with a fury of punches and forearms that overwhelmed Collyer and allowed Hammer to gain control. Jack Hammer had a game plan of his own and that was to work on the legs of Collyer. This kept the match mostly on the mat as Hammer looked to wear down his opponent slowly as well. Hammer went for a few pin attempts himself, but to no success. Collyer still had fight left in him.  Collyer was able to get to the ropes and both men got back to their feet. Both men's offense was greatly diminished as they worked on each other quite a bit. Collyer was able to get Jack Hammer in a Texas Cloverleaf, which was perfectly executed. Luckily for Hammer, he was close to the ropes and hoped to get a rope break. The referee ordered the rope break and proceeded to give Collyer a five count. Collyer did not break the hold and was thus disqualified for his actions.

* Jack Hammer beat Chad Collyer by DQ

It was now time for our Main Event of the evening. Hank let us all know that we were not liked by him by calling us several names along the way. The big ragin redneck hoped to seize the day and finally become EWF Heavyweight champion tonight, as he would face the champ, Anarchy once and for all. Anarchy came out to one of the loudest ovations of the night and it was well deserved, as the champ has been battling all challengers with a vengeance. The match started off with Hank displaying his power advantage of Anarchy, by tossing him around the ring. After a few bumps to the mat, Anarchy knew it was time to get down to business.

Hank proceeded to parade around the ring in typical redneck fashion, only to be mocked by anarchy moments later. Anarchy, who usually is not the comedy type, gave some of the best laughs of the evening. All of those in attendance will attest to that! Moving on, Anarchy looked to have the match in control and started to work on the big redneck's legs. Anarchy called out to one lucky fan for a number between one and ten and delivered the brutal stomps to the legs and midsection of Hank Calhoun. Anarchy went for the pin, but only got a 2 count from the ref. At this point Anarchy started to question if the ref could count to three or not.

Hank was able to get back to his feet and square off with Anarchy once again. This time Hank would have the upper hand and start to work the champ over with a routine of typical southern style brawling. Hank whipped Anarchy to the corner, but a nice reversal sent Hank slamming into the corner instead. Anarchy ran across the ring and nailed a great spear to the midsection and immediately whipped Hank across the ring to the other corner. Another spear by Anarchy to the midsection of Hank Calhoun had Hank almost split in half. Anarchy whipped Hank across the ring once again and attempted a spear, only to spear the hard steel corner post instead. Hank stumbled out of the corner just in time and laughed as the champ laid across the ropes in pain. They say three times a charm; this time the third time equals pain.

Hank was able to pull the champ to his feet and start to work him over once again. Hank went for several pin attempts but with no success. Hank was quite frustrated at this point and went for his finishing move, The Rebel Bomb. Hank connected with the move and got about 2 and a half count from the ref. Hank got to his feet to yell at the ref and this allowed Anarchy to also regain himself and get to his feet. Anarchy was able to lock Hank in for his finisher at this point and able to make a quick pin. The ref made the count, 1-2-3! Anarchy retains his EWF Heavyweight Title once again, while Hank Calhoun goes home beaten and bruised.

* EWF Title:  Anarchy (c) beat Hank Calhoun

Next week Anarchy faces ECW, WCW and WWE Superstar, Raven, as he comes to the EWF to face the Silence behind the Violence. From what I have observed, this is going to be a very crazy match and will definitely be a knock down, drag out fight to the end. Tickets are still on sale as of Saturday night for only $12 for adults and $10 for kids. I know I'll be there in the front row ready to see one of the greatest matches of the year indeed.

Next week will also include the finals of the BMF Title Tournament, as King will face Hank Calhoun. These two men have had some very exciting matches in the past and I'm sure this coming week will be all the better as the BMF title is at stake. With more matches being announced this week, this Saturday, April 26th looks to be a huge show for the EWF that will be remembered for quite some time. I hope to see you all there Saturday night.

That’s all for this week wrestling fans. Be sure to check out The Insider's run the Rumor Mill for all the nitty gritty dirt that’s has been brewing in the EWF. Only The Insider brings you this exclusive inside info and this is the only place you can find it. Thanks for reading!
